Active Music in conjunction with Alan Ames and Associates will be producing the second in a series of hurricane relief benefit concerts at the Warehouse Live Concert Hall in Houston Texas on Friday, June 30th 2006. The Fabulous Thunderbirds with a very special performance by The event will benefit the New Orleans Musicians Clinic, a non profit organization dedicated to assisting New Orleans based musicians, with additional proceeds going to the Houston based Children’s Museum of Houston and the Houston Society for the Performing Arts. The monies received by the Houston based organizations will be earmarked for their New Orleans musicians concerts and will cycle the revenues back to the New Orleans Musicians Clinic who will be providing the talent and musicians from New Orleans. The DeMontrond car dealership has donated the use of three Hummers for event transportation. Other Houston business such as KPFT, Arrow 93.7 and American Express are just a few who are supporting the event. The Concert will be filmed in Hi Definition by award winning director Alan Ames and Associates for an HD Net television special as well as for standard definition television broadcast and a follow up DVD/CD release to create a sustainable revenue stream for the New Orleans Musicians Clinic over the next decade.
